Gallery House Maya was established in 1986 as a specialized art gallery for illustrations in the heart of Tokyo. In addition to renting the space to evolving various illustrators, it has been conducting special exhibitions by well known illustration artists each year and those were done either as individual presentations or group presentations with specific themes given by the gallery. Maya opened its annex in 1989, Maya2, which is especially suitable for large scale group presentations.
